03 — Our Namesake
The city that engineered water before the world had a word for it.
Two thousand years ago, Gerasa — the great Greco-Roman city in modern Jordan — moved water with an intelligence that still astonishes engineers: aqueducts, concealed plumbing, and a sewer running the full 800 metres of its colonnaded main street.
We took the name on purpose. Mechanical and plumbing systems are the part of a building no one sees — and the part that decides whether it works.
